( discuss)Īlthough a user called RobinLion warned people not to donate any money after the initial crash, as Yerf would "most likely never come back," and the money would instead "be spent on everything but Yerf," thousands of dollars were raised in donations. The factual accuracy of this section is disputed. Complaints about the speed of the review process were also frequent, due to the difficulty of getting qualified reviewers who could spare the time and effort to review submissions. This led to claims of elitism, which were (to an extent) ignored, as the majority of community members supported at least some level of quality filtering. The long, usually six-month, mandatory wait period to reapply heightened this controversy considerably some unsuccessful applicants believed this was sometimes applied as a form of punishment for failing to complete an application correctly. Around the time it was re-branded as Yerf, new policies were introduced concerning the quality of artwork.Īt first, a large proportion of artists might still have qualified to enter, but the bar has been raised over time to a point where even reasonably good artists might face several rejections before being allowed in, if they managed it at all. History Main article: History of Yerf Art policy Īs indicated by the name, the SCFA was always distinguished by a strong PG focus.
#BARA FURRY ARCHIVES ARCHIVE#
When ArtSpots closed at the start of 2012, the archive was passed to GreenReaper. As of early 2009, the domain redirected to the Yerf Historical Archive, hosted by ArtSpots it stopped redirecting in late 2009.

Lengthy downtime over 2005-6 and competition from newer archives resulted in loss of popularity among both viewers and artists. The site was a good place to find the early works of many well-known artists. Formerly known as the Squeeky Clean Furry Archive, it presented itself as the benchmark in its class for the last ten years, due in part to the rising skill level required for admission. Yerf was probably the furry fandom's best known exclusively non-adult art archive of its time.
#BARA FURRY ARCHIVES INSTALL#
It's a great program that is easy to install and play. By exploring the island and talking to Jaruu and his friends you can find out more about him and his fascinating world. Set in a fictional island of Bloofen Jut, Chronicles follows the exploits of Jaruu Tenk, a fox-like explorer. It's a very interesting, very fun bit of "screen entertainment" that is worth a look, whether you're a fur or not!īilled as a "revolutionary screen entertainment package," The Chronicles of Jaruu Tenk is a neat and quite unique simulation that is part "life simulation" a la Little Computer People (or more recently, Creatures), part screensaver, and part free-form exploration game. That great thing: The Chronicles of Jaruu Tenk. So I was just playing some games when I realized "Wait, I've got a great thing I can use for an update!".
#BARA FURRY ARCHIVES UPDATE#
I want to keep up with the pattern of updating I've been using (one update in the middle of the week and one at the end) but a pointless post is something I don't want to write. Since I have nothing new to post, nor has anything interesting (that I want to talk about) happened, I just couldn't figure out what to post. I'm currently working on a new story that I hope will be done this weekend. Now I just have wait until morning when my parents will ask me "What were you doing in the bathroom that required so many tissues!?" The tissue box is sitting on top of the toliet, so all the tissues fall into the water (I wish I had just put the seat down!), completely ruining them. I reach over, pull one out, and then every tissue left in the box falls out in a big white ball. Anyway, I was in the bathroom to get a tissue for my nose. Physically, I think I might have the flu or a cold or something. Emotionally, things have not being going so well for several reasons. Alright, I haven't been feeling well lately. William: Weren't you going to talk about the little thing that happened to you an hour ago or so? I still haven't decided if I want to make a second part to it, but the way this story ends certainly could make for some interesting things if I do continue it. I started Feel Those Earth Blues about a week ago, and just now got around to finishing it.
